Probably the crudest conversion I’ve ever seen.

Cut off the roof section, omit the tailgate and extend the rear a few inches.

Yes but the FSO is crude in the way it’s executed. Granted it was made in communist era eastern Europe.

The Merc and similar vehicles to the one you pictured are modern day well designed with almost seamless body fabrication.
